I’m using an older Canon (60D) tethered to a mac (sequoia 15.61.1) on a copy stand. This is for shooting very small subjects using the MP-E-65 lends. I use a stackshot rail, powered by the app within Zerene Stacker. I have been using this system with limited variations for over 10 years. Every time that Apple updates it’s mac OS, Canon Utilities “breaks”. I’m trying the trial version of SS5. The camera is recognized, I can see the subject in Live View. Unfortunately Canon will not shoot unless Live View is disabled. Can I do this from within the SS5 software? Getting up and fooling with the camera controls is a non-starter. Any suggestions?
