Script to setup shortcut keys for tethering to different locations

Hello,

This is a great program, but I need some help creating a script.

Basically I would like to create a script for different shortcut keys so the images can be saved in your choice of three different folders, choosing them as you go.

For example:

  • Clicking space bar will capture and send the capture to Folder 1
  • Clicking Enter will capture and send the capture to folder 2
  • Clicking Shift will capture and send to folder 3

The file naming would be continuous no matter which folder the image lands in (for example *******_0001, *******_0002, etc) and all based on the same camera settings.

I am on Windows 10, using a Canon 5Ds.

Could you help please?

Thanks,
Terence

Unfortunately the scripting features are not flexible enough to do this sort if thing.

When running a script, it can only be started by either:

  1. Clicking the “Run Script” button
  2. Pressing the “R” keyboard shortcut

So its not possible to start a script from a custom keyboard input. And the script itself would not know which key press it was triggered from.

Hi Francis,

No problem, I appreciate your response nevertheless.

All the best,
Terence
